| | Day 1: HELEN, GA / DINNER @ UNICOI STATE PARK: -- Hop on board, and let’s travel east to see some colorful fall foliage and visit an old world Bavarian village in Helen. Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains on the Chattahoochee River is a re-creation of a European alpine village complete with friendly town folks dressed in lederhosen and dirndls. This evening, we will enjoy a hearty dinner at Unicoi State Park. (D) |
| Day 2: BABYLAND GENERAL HOSPITAL / DAHLONEGA TOWN SQUARE / LUNCH @ SMITH HOUSE / CRISSON GOLD MINE / FREE TIME IN HELEN / DINNER & OKTOBERFEST: -- Today is full of fun, including a tour of Babyland General Hospital where the famous Cabbage Patch Dolls are delivered. Then, we’ll explore the town square in the old gold rush town of Dahlonega. Following a hearty family-style lunch at Smith House, we’ll pan for gold and gems at Crisson Gold Mine. Back in the village of Helen you will have time to explore this neat little village from “top to bottom.” Dinner will be a festive affair German-style at the Festhalle. German Oom-pah bands will entertain with waltzes, polkas, sing-a-longs, and dancers. (L,D) |
| Day 3: APPLE ORCHARD / LUNCH / HOME: -- What a fun get-away. Now, it’s time to go home! But first we’ll stop at an Apple Orchard to stock up on the best nature has to offer. A special lunch is included in Chattanooga. On our journey home we will enjoy the splendor of the beautiful fall foliage along the way. (L)
