Day 1: TRANSFER FROM SAN DIEGO AIRPORT TO HOTEL / FREE TIME / SAN DIEGO, CA: -- After your flight to San Diego, you will be transferred to your hotel, conveniently located across the street from Old Town and your home for the next two nights. Old Town San Diego is nestled in the heart of San Diego with over 150 shops, restaurants, museums, and historical sites. Your hotel is a short walk from the Trolley Transit Center where you can explore by trolley or bus. Arrive early and enjoy your free day! You may want to visit the zoo. Book your flight to arrive in San Diego no later than 5:00 p.m.
Day 2: OLD TOWN / HARBOR CRUISE / GUIDED CITY TOUR / SAN DIEGO, CA: -- You will begin your tour of San Diego at Old Town San Diego, considered the Birthplace of California. There will be time for sightseeing, shopping, and dining (on your own) before our narrated harbor cruise. On this tour of San Diego Bay we’ll see the U.S. Navy fleet, Coronado Bridge, shipyards, Star of India and more. Our local guide joins us this afternoon for a driving tour of San Diego. The remainder of the day is yours to leisurely explore this wonderful coastal city. Meals: Cont. Breakfast

Day 3: MISSION SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO / CRYSTAL CATHEDRAL / RONALD REAGAN PRESIDENTIAL LIBRARY & MUSEUM / LUNCH @ REAGAN’S COUNTRY CAFÉ / LOS ANGELES, CA: -- Mission San Juan Capistrano is most famous for the annual return of the swallows in mid-March. The serenity amid the 10 acres of lush gardens, cool fountains and old adobe walls offers respite from the busy world. We will visit Crystal Cathedral, an all-glass sanctuary enclosed by 10,000-mirrored windows, to take photos. The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library sits on top of a hill with a view of the entire valley and is the burial site of this great president. While here, you will want to walk through Air Force One. After an included lunch, you can explore the many exhibits. We stay two nights in the Los Angeles area. Meals: Cont. Breakfast, Lunch

Day 4: GUIDED TOUR OF LOS ANGELES & HOLLYWOOD / FARMERS MARKET / DINNER @ BUBBA GUMP’S / LOS ANGELES, CA: -- Our guided tour of Los Angeles includes Hollywood, Sunset Boulevard, Mann’s Chinese Theatre, and more. Concluding at Farmers Market, this will be your opportunity to buy fresh fruits and other treats. After some free time this afternoon, a special dinner is included at Universal’s CityWalk. Meals: Breakfast, Dinner
Day 5: PACIFIC OCEAN / LUNCH / HEARST CASTLE / PACIFIC GROVE, CA: -- Ever since arriving in California we have been glimpsing the Pacific Ocean. Today we travel its coastline on our way to San Simeon and Hearst Castle. Better wear comfortable walking shoes; we ascend a few flights of stairs at what was once the estate of newspaper publisher William Randolph Hearst. Located atop a 1,600-ft mountain with a spectacular view of San Simeon and the Pacific Ocean, the main house alone consists of 115 rooms! We’ll tour the ground floor of the main house, one guesthouse, both pools, and the gardens. As we continue North up the coastline. We overnight in the Pacific Grove area. Meals: Box Lunch

Day 6: PIER 39 / LUNCH @ NEPTUNE’S PALACE / CITY TOUR / GOLDEN GATE BAY CRUISE / SAN FRANCISCO, CA: -- San Francisco, the “City by the Bay”, is home for the next two nights. Lunch is included at Pier 39 or Fisherman’s Wharf, followed by a guided city tour. This is truly a uniquely diverse area of California. We then board a ferry for the Golden Gate Bay Cruise. You can take pictures of the Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco skyline, and of Alcatraz prison. This evening you may want to return to Pier 39 where there are many restaurants, markets, souvenir shops, and import houses. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Day 7: DAY OF LEISURE / SAN FRANCISCO, CA: -- Enjoy San Francisco however you like! Hop on board a trolley to explore this romantic city. Try an authentic lunch in Chinatown where streets are lined with Chinese shops and restaurants, or explore Fisherman’s Wharf. There are several walking tours available. Meals: Cont. Breakfast.
Day 8: TRANSFER TO AIRPORT: -- You will be transferred from the hotel in San Francisco to the airport for your flight home.
