| | Day 1: 1 TRANSFER TO BIRMINGHAM, AL / TRAVEL BY AMTRAK: -- We board our motorcoach this morning, and after picking up along the way, we’ll arrive in Birmingham where we board Amtrak (coach class) for our New York City adventure. Our train departs early afternoon. Enjoy your overnight train ride with your friends and get acquainted with your fellow travelers. Upgrade to Sleeper Car is based on availability. | Day 2: AMTRAK ARRIVAL AT PENN STATION / TRANSFER TO HOTEL / DINNER / RADIO CITY CHARISTMAS SPECTACULAR STARRING THE ROCKETTES / NEW YORK CITY: -- Upon arrival at Penn Station in NYC, we transfer to our hotel in the heart of Midtown. Our hotel is close to Theatre District, restaurants, and shopping. After freshening up we depart for a night in the big city. A special dinner is included followed by Radio City Christmas Spectacular starring The Rockettes. (D) |
| Day 3: BREAKFAST IN A BOX / MACY’S THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE / METRO PASS / RADIO CITY STAGE DOOR TOUR / TOP OF THE ROCK / DINNER / NEW YORK CITY: -- Breakfast in a box is included so you can claim your parade-viewing place early. Watching Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on T.V. has been a tradition of many families throughout the years. Now, experience it live! Later we return to the Radio City Music Hall for a Stage Door Tour. Here we will learn the secrets of the Great Stage, the Wurlitizer Organ and all it chambers, the stage’s hydraulic system, still in operation since the ‘30’s, and meet one of the Radio City Rockettes! Day or night – anytime is the right time to visit the Top of the Rock Observation Deck. Perched 70 stories above the City at Rockefellow Plaza, the panoramic views of Manhattan are unequaled anywhere else in New York City! Breathtaking vistas stretch for miles in every direction. Later, a special dinner is included. This evening you may want to see the window displays creatively decorated for Christmas, watch ice skaters at Rockefellow Center Rink (or ice skate!), and so much more! | Day 4: METRO PASS / FREE DAY FOR EXPLORING & SHOPPING / NEW YORK CITY: -- Whether a serious shopper or not, you may want to take advantage of Black Friday deals. Another metro pass with unlimited local bus or subway rides is included for your convenience. If you are not here for shopping, you may want to use your metro pass to visit Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty, see another Broadway show, or enjoy another fine restaurant. This is your day! | Day 5: FREE MORNING / TRANSFER TO PENN STATION / TRAVEL BY AMTRAK: -- You will have a free morning and time for lunch (on your own) before our group is transferred to Penn Station. We depart early afternoon for our overnight trip home. Only now can we understand why New York City is the world's number one attraction! It seems that there's just no end to the sights or the excitement of the Big Apple. But, we’ll be back! |
Day 6: AMTRAK ARRIVAL IN BIRMINGHAM, AL / TRANSFER HOME: -- What an adventure this has been! New York is truly like no other place on earth. We arrive in Birmingham this morning then transfer home.

AMTRAK SLEEPER “CABIN”:
Most will choose to snooze or have a ball with their traveling companions in their spacious Coach-Class seats. Once we arrive in NYC, you will have time at the hotel to freshen-up before we depart for dinner.
For those of you that are interested, there are a limited number of Sleeper Cabins and there is a limit of 2 people per cabin. Roomettes are available on a first-come basis, and range from $75pp (each way) to $210pp (each way). Bedrooms range from $150pp (each way) to $328pp (each way).
These upgrades include all meals aboard train.
The cost per cabin goes up based on supply and demand. So if you want to go and want a Sleeper Cabin Add-on, and don’t want to pay out of the roof for it, we suggest you go ahead & get your deposit paid and let us request a Roomette or Bedroom for you and get you the best price.
